Once loaded, I was planning on using software called PhotoMove2.5 Pro to re-organize everything into Y-M-D folders. So here is my plan, I was going to buy a 8TB WD external HD and centralize (copy) all the media on to that HD. I literally have some HD's that backing up 99% of the same pictures.but some of them have additional pictures that are not on other HD's. So now I'm left with multiple external hard drives containing picture backups with multiple duplications of the pictures. As they grew, so did my external hard drive collection. Over the years I would backup our family photos, videos, etc. This has been a slow work in progress.but I thought it never hurts to get opinions or best practices. On Fridays we'll allow posts that don't normally fit in the usual data-hoarding theme, including posts that would usually be removed by rule 4: “No memes or 'look at this '”
